Courtney Marie Andrews- “It Must Be Someone Else’s Fault” (Fat Possum)
“It Must Be Someone Else’s Fault” is the third release from Courtney Marie Andrews’ forthcoming album Old Flowers. The song is a graceful folk tune buoyed by some twang and plaintive guitar work. Andrews’ voice is the showcase as it is both emotive and powerful giving the song a lived-in quality like its one you’ve been listening to for years. Hear it now on Music Choice’s Adult Alternative station.
Andrews has been playing live often for her fans online!
Cam- “Redwood Tree” (RCA)
After a momentous debut album, Cam’s sophomore effort has been stuck in limbo for years now. Strong songs have slowly trickled out from the record and the third to do so, “Redwood Tree,” is a real keeper. Immediately Cam’s voice stands out as strong and crystal clear over the subdued music. She sings of life lessons and the passage of time creating a powerful number. Hear it now on MC’s Pop & Country station.
Cam has been hosting “Coffee With Cam” segments online where she does everything from chat beauty tips to interview her favorite artists!
The Acacia Strain- “One Thousand Painful Stings” (Rise)
Deathcore greats The Acacia Strain has been slowly releasing singles all year and the newest “One Thousand Painful Stings” is just as punishing as all the others. Spiritbox singer Courtney LaPlante joins AS vocalist Vincent Bennett over the pummeling music. The song will be featured on the band’s forthcoming album Slow Decay. Hear this bruiser now on the Music Choice Metal channel.
From 6/5-6/7 The Acacia Strain donated all profits from sales in their webstore to the NAACP Legal Defense & Education Fund.
