Music Choice Chatted Up Shoreline Mafia and More at the Billboard Hot 100
Shoreline Mafia
The Los Angeles rap quartet was really feeling themselves when they swang through the Music Choice booth at Jones Beach. The crew discussed the influence snap music like D4L and Dem Franchize Boyz has on their tunes as well as the wild BBQ they threw for the release of their Atlantic Records debut. They were also digging the MC branded bandanas. Very good look.
Sabrina Carpenter
Singer Sabrina Carpenter has come a long way from her days appearing on Disney’s Girl Meets World. Carpenter got really excited when discussing a new album she’s been writing. The fresh songs are going to be different than what people expect from her, but she feels it’s just a natural part of her writing during the “years of our lives when we do the most growing.”
Olivia O’Brien
The “i hate u, i love u” singer was so stoked on the crowd reception she received during her Hot 100 set. “Hot” being the keyword there. The heat was climbing and she couldn’t believe how much energy the crowd was giving back to her. O’Brien also gets into her influences including the sound of “R&B guitar” which is her “favorite sound in the entire world.”
Justine Skye
Last year Skye was in the crowd for the Billboard Hot 100, so to be dominating a stage this time around, it was a big deal. She was very excited to be performing a track that no one had ever heard before! Her new songs will be even more soulful than her previous work.
