Black Pumas- “Confines” (ATO)
Psych soul practitioners Black Pumas are gearing up to release the deluxe version of their self-titled album and have offered a taste with a live take on “Confines.” The band adds strings to the original’s soulful heartache shuffle making it yearn even more. Try to listen to this one and not sway back and forth with your eyes closed. Feel it on Music Choice’s ALT R&B channel.

POP

Lola Young- “Woman” (Capitol)
Rising UK R&B singer Lola Young’s “Woman” is a big, empowering statement. Young’s big voice dominates the lithe R&B beat that’s full of swirling and jagged synths with a quietly knocking beat. Hear it on Music Choice’s Teen Beats channel.

Ziggy Marley- “Beach in Hawaii” (Island)

Ziggy Marley has shared a live cut of “Beach in Hawaii” which will appear on his upcoming Ziggy Marley in Concert live album. Almondmilkhunni- “damnboy” (Electric Feel)
Rapper/singer Almondmilkhunni’s got it bad. “damnboy” finds the artist shouting the platitudes of a partner. The sweet, scuffling trap beat lets Almondmilkhunni show off her vocal chops while switching things up with her fresh flow. Make sure to check this one on Music Choice’s Emo Trap channel.

RAP

Coi Leray- “Do Better” (Republic)
New Jersey rapper Coi Leray just announced her Now Or Never EP and from the sounds of the first single it’s going to be full of bangers. Leray melodically spits about holding herself and her team to a higher standard as well as doing a little chest-beating at the same time. Make sure to bump this one hard on Music Choice’s Rap channel.
