Jeremy Zucker- “supercuts” (Republic)
Not content with giving fans just a whole album in 2020 singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker is already back with a fresh song! “Supercuts” is a jaunty pop number built around acoustic guitar and crisp percussion. Zucker’s knack for melody is of course here with a massive chorus and the singer showing off his vocal range. Hear it now on Music Choice’s Teen Beats channel.
Topic feat. A7S “Breaking Me” (Astralwerks)
When dancefloors are able to be crowded again, German producer Topic has a new one that will get them jumping. Aided by vocals from A7S, “Breaking Me” has a bass line with serious bounce and warm synths. Hear this banger on MC’s Dance/EDM channel.
Terrell Hines “Balance” (Capitol)
Terrell Hines is the definition of a multi-talented artist. The Georgia-bred Hines shows off all the chops on his recently released “Balance.” From a variety of flows to a lovely voice to a soulfully knocking beat, this jam has it all. Hear it on Music Choice’s Rap channel now.
Liza Anne “I Shouldn’t Ghost My Therapist” (Arts & Crafts)
Liza Anne may be billed as a folk artist but her most recent album Bad Vacation finds the singer-songwriter branching out. Album highlight “I Shouldn’t Ghost My Therapist” is a straight-up 90s college rocker with spindly guitars and a big pop chorus. Plus some good advice right there in the title. Hear it on MC’s Indie channel.
Old 97s- “The Dropouts” (ATO)
Seems alt-country veterans Old 97’s haven’t lost a step on their forthcoming album Twelfth. The record’s opening track “The Dropouts” is anchored by frontman Rhett Miller’s lithe voice as the group ambles through a superb twangy bar band workout. Hear it now on MC’s Adult Alternative channel.
